More Patterns

By Ernesto | February 21, 2008

Continuing some ideas from my last post, here are some examples of combining intervals.  Instead of parallel thirds, I’m alternating between thirds and sixths:

2ex1

And here’s a pattern derived from that:

2ex2

Now, maybe if we were looking for something a bit more modern, we could try other intervals.  How about seconds and fourths?

2ex3

And the pattern:

2ex4

I like this, this is fun.  Fun to play, too.
