New Website for 2012

If you’ve been here before, you’ve probably noticed things look a bit different. I finally updated the look of the site a bit. I’ve been dying to change things up a bit for a while now.

Also, I’ll start releasing exclusive material (demos, live recordings, unreleased, etc…) on my mailing list. If you’re interested, sign up right here:

Some Film Music

November has been quite the busy month. I got asked to the the music for a 48 Hour film project. Not only was it a great experience, we also got nominated for best music.

Here’s the short:

“Beyond” – 48 Hours Film Project Berlin from Albert N. Romero on Vimeo.

I’m also gonna do the music for a web-series by the same director. I’m very excited to see how that comes out, but more on that later.

And last Sunday I played another concert with Joe Czarnecki, this time at B-Flat. And once again, it was a great night. I should have some video footage of it shortly.

Ramen Music and a Review

Quite recently (yesterday actually) my song Build was featured in an issue of Ramen Music. It’s a bi-monthly musical discovery newsletter of sorts, a great way to listen to new music. And they pay all the artists too!

And not long before that, Kate Weed did a great review on her Dovetail blog. She goes through all the songs and uses some very detailed imagery to describe them. Thanks Kate!

On Magnatune & New Review

A Work in Progress has been released on Magnatune, which is an interesting take on what a “record label” can be in this new age. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a musician and/or music-lover.

Also, I hadn’t mentioned this here yet, but A Work in Progress was reviewed over at Minor 7th in the Short Takes section. You can check it out here.
