Ramen Music and a Review
Quite recently (yesterday actually) my song Build was featured in an issue of Ramen Music. It’s a bi-monthly musical discovery newsletter of sorts, a great way to listen to new music. And they pay all the artists too!
And not long before that, Kate Weed did a great review on her Dovetail blog. She goes through all the songs and uses some very detailed imagery to describe them. Thanks Kate!
On Magnatune & New Review
A Work in Progress has been released on Magnatune, which is an interesting take on what a “record label” can be in this new age. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re a musician and/or music-lover.
Also, I hadn’t mentioned this here yet, but A Work in Progress was reviewed over at Minor 7th in the Short Takes section. You can check it out here.
Alice Gryphius This Friday
This Friday May 6 I’ll be playing at Alice Gryphius, and I’ll be joined by Asha Khan on tabla for a few songs. Should be fun! Starts at 20:20.
And here’s the Facebook event page.
And I already have a few other shows lining up. It’s looking to be a productive summer.
Überall Giant Jam Session Moved
The Giant Jam Session was moved at the last minute due to some plumbing problems at Lovelite. It’ll now be at Atelier Überall, Oppelnerstr. 12.
I’m scheduled to play around 1:30. Hope to see you there!
Live at the Berlinprojekt
Last Sunday I was invited to play at the Berlinprojekt, in the Babylon movie theater.
It’s an organization that does church services geared towards younger people, so they always have a musical guest that doesn’t necessarily play Christian music to “lighten the mood” so to speak.
All in all, it was a great experience. I got a great response from the audience and I sold all the CD’s I had brought with me.
And between you and me…I could get used to playing to crowds that big.
