It’s been about six months since I’ve posted any new music, so some of might be wondering where I’ve been…well, I admit things have been quiet over here, but I’ve actually been very busy, and soon I’ll have a lot to show for it.

So I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to and give you a bit of a status update.

First of all, I’ve been recording (and re-recording in some cases) a lot of music that I’ve posted videos of, but have never officially released. That includes some of my Game Of Thrones covers, as well as Orestes and Judith.

I’m also putting the finishing touches on some new covers I’ve been working on…some of them might be bit of surprise if you’ve come to expect a certain, uh, style of music from me. But I thought it was time to change things up a bit.

I’ve also been involved in two very exciting creative projects. One is a collaboration with the panamanian dancer Milvia Martinez. Rather than coming up with a piece and then getting somebody to write the music, she wanted the music to be an integral part of the whole process.

We started by improvising together, and worked on it for a couple of months, slowly putting the pieces together. We already performed it once, with more performances planned later in the year. It’s been a very different experience for me, and pretty amazing overall. Hopefully I can share it sometime in the near future.

The other project isn’t actually new…my old band, Hacienda Libre, have decided to get together again and make noise. I’m amazingly proud of the music we made in the past, so it feels great bringing it back and making something new. It’s also nice to play electric and turn the amp up to 10. Oh, how long it has been…

We’ll be releasing a new song very soon, but in the meantime you can download our EP…just keep in mind that the lyrics (and the website) are all in Spanish!

And finally (I told you I’ve been busy…), there’s my guitar site which is almost ready to go. It’s meant to be a website for all the guitarists who are interested in what I do and are looking to improve their playing. The focus will be on acoustic guitar for now, and I also plan to get into making your own arrangements and composing.

So to sum it all up: stay tuned!
